DePalo Bakery is located in Belmont NC, twenty miles from Harris Teeter store #11 in Ballantyne. Evona and Voytek Cholewa came to the Charlotte area from Poland in 1991. They started a small catering company in 2001 in Pineville NC, which over time transformed into the bakery, supplying pastries and other sweet goods to local shops and selling at farmers market.

Having been exposed to the fine art of bread making in their native Poland, they decided in 2004 to expand their small bakery and bought their first hearth oven to start producing artisan breads. To accommodate the growing demand without sacrificing the quality of its products, DePalo Bakery relocated its headquarters to Belmont in 2009. DePalo Bakery strives to produce great quality products at reasonable prices by implementing "Artisan" way of making our products, which blends high quality ingredients, dedication and craftsmanship of more than twenty people, with modern day technology.
